Distorted Beauty is a painting inspired by Modigliani and Richard Phillips’ Spectrum.  The painting depicts a face of a young girl, however is distorted with elongated and uneven facial features, portraying our own image of ourselves, and how we criticize ourselves constantly of our physical beauty.  A variety of textures are explored through the piece in order to create depth and ribbon is weaved on the face in order to further distort the portrait.
